Dear fellow medical students,
My name is Naj, and like you, I'm a medical student. I'm in my third year, juggling lectures, placements and the constant question of whether I'm revising the right things.
If you've used UKMLA-mapped resources, you'll know how much they shape the way we think as doctors. I love them for that. But they were never built to get you through your own medical school. There are over 40 in the UK, each with its own curriculum, its own exams and its own way of teaching, and every year students are left piecing together what their school actually expects.
I felt that most in the spring of 2026, at the start of my Year 2 exams, and decided to do something about it. That's how MedQuiz started.
I want it to become the place where you find teaching resources, OSCE preparation and a doctor-reviewed question bank built around your school, alongside a doctor-verified UKMLA question bank and clinical knowledge bank. But more than that, I want it to be where medical students from every UK school come together, a community that grows into the next generation of doctors.
Building in healthcare isn't new to me. Alongside my degree, I've built Medivus, creating websites and digital tools for doctors and clinics. I have also co-founded Sanctum Health Network, a new network of private clinics, now running from its first two sites. Working with doctors and patients outside of lectures has taught me that trust in healthcare is earned in the details. That's why MedQuiz is being built with student ambassadors who know their own schools inside out, and why every question bank will be checked by doctors before it reaches you.
We're starting with a free Master Deck for UEA medical students. It's a first step, and there's a long way to go. My pledge to you is simple: I'll keep building, keep listening and keep pushing this vision forward, to best serve you and the medical students who will take up the mantle from us in the years to come.
